PAPAVERIN HCl is used in the following cases;
Peripheral vascular disease with a vasospastic element. Vascular spasms associated with acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), angina pectoris (chest pain caused by damage to the arteries supplying the heart in humans), peripheral and pulmonary embolism (blood clot formed in the leg veins and occludes the pulmonary arteries).
